I got my first Tea romper as a baby shower gift for my daughter. And since then the brand has become a little bit of an obsession. I look forward to getting the catalog in the mail. When a sale is going on, I jump on it. And I get excited to dress my girls in their Tea outfits every chance I get. I see them on the short list of ethical clothing companies. Here are 5 reasons I love the Tea Collection brand.
Note: This post contains affiliate links. If you decide to make a purchase, I will make a small percentage, which keeps this website running. But don’t worry, I think these pictures show I looooove this brand and have been supporting them long before this blog started.
1. The styles are adorable.
Tea Collection uses rich colors and cute designs. I like the baby outfits are comfortable and that the toddler and little girl outfits are comfortable and very age appropriate. This is probably my favorite outfit ever. It is so soft. And that facial expression! And bald head!
2. The world view.
Every season, Tea chooses a different country or region to draw their inspiration from. You can read about the whole story here. They look at their traditional clothes and then translate them to children’s clothes over here in the United States. This creates very unique collections that are different from other brands, but still in style. The current styles are inspired by Australia but past seasons have been from China and India. I love the thought of exposing my girls to things outside their backyard, even if it is just through some clothing choices. I love that this company goes beyond glittery cats and cutsy sayings to make clothes with designs with a story behind them.
3. Coordinating Outfits Made Easy.
I have two girls, about two years apart. I love that they have different outfits with the same fabric or coordinating colors that I can dress my girls in. When I can put my toddler in a dress and my baby in a romper …. well I can’t pass that up. I like that the colors for the whole line go together so you can easily coordinate siblings of any ages for pictures, church, or any occasion. The website has a section for Girls (sizes 2-12), Boys (sizes 2-12), Baby Girls (sizes 0-3 months to 18-24 months), Baby Boys (sizes 0-3 months to 18-24 months), and Newborn. They also have a sale section. Which is fabulous, but sometimes for coordinating can make things more difficult, because they do sell out.
4. They give back.
With every purchase, Tea gives some money to The Global Fund for Children. They also have a program called Tea’s School Days where they give money back to local schools during school shopping time. In their words, “The Global Fund for Children finds and invests in small, locally led organizations that transform the lives of the world’s most vulnerable children.”
5. Ethical Sourcing.
The last reason I like the Tea brand is that they are certainly what I would call one of the few ethical clothing companies. They have a Fair Trade agreement with all of their manufacturers, ensuring that the employees along the supply chain are treated and paid fairly. This all goes along with how they care for the world. It goes with their tagline: for little citizens of the world. Little citizens who treat others fairly. I love it.
