Back to school used to mean back into the classroom and no more travels for me. I was a classroom teacher for 8 years and a librarian for 1. Now, it means hallelujah, the girls will start Mother’s Day Out soon and I can deep clean the house and work on my blog and business. Regardless of your situation, here’s a quick list of problems and back to school solutions for this time of year.
Problem: What Lunch Box and Backpack to Get
Solution: I love the Bentgo Kids – Leakproof Children’s Lunch Box. There are little compartments that make me remember to add in all of the food groups. And it really doesn’t leak. This pairs nicely inside the Classic Lunch Boxes from Pottery Barn and I can even get one of these slim iced penguins in the lunch box too. (see problem/solution below…)
Problem: How to Keep Lunch Cool
Solution: Fit & Fresh Cool Coolers Lunch Ice Pack. I love how slim it is. It fits nicely anywhere in the freezer, and like I said, it fits right above and below the Bentgo Kids box inside the Pottery Barn lunch box.
Problem: First Day of School Has Me All Stressed Out
Solution: I plan on taking a bubble bath that first day. My favorite is the Seaweed and Arnica Foaming Bath. Made with organic ingredients. Adds lots of bubbles with just a bit. Eases tired muscles and lets me just melt my worries away.
Problem: How to step up my dinner game…
Solution: Meal Planning! During the school year, I do like having a lot more structure. I will be more stringent about my meal planning. I am also trying Green Chef (that link should get you 4 free meals) and might try Blue Apron to see how they compare! PS I love this What To Eat Notepad for keeping track of our family dinners. (And of course I will add to my Recipe Rewind Series as I cook more…)
Problem: Back to School Germs!
Solution: Of course when the girls are around more kids their age, we will get the toddler germs. Good thing I looooove my Neal’s Yard Remedies Hand Wash! Wash Hands. Moisturize. Repeat as needed.
Problem: Back to School Clothing Shopping is Exhausting
Solution: Duh! Do all of your shopping online! Tea Collection is some of the cutest stuff and they have great sales every few weeks. I can’t wait to stock up on matching sets for my girls! I mean.. have you ever seen anything so cute? (Here are some reasons why I love the Tea brand so much!)
All this reflecting on back to school solutions certainly has me itching to get me and mine ready. What’s on your back to school to do list? I hope this problem & solution list helps you out just a smidge!
