It is very important to me to read labels. Yes that started with my skincare and then makeup and then hair. But I am also looking at other things in my house… in my kitchen for instance. So when I got the opportunity to try out an organic eco safe dishwashing liquid, I jumped at the chance. And I’m so glad I did. This is my organic dish soap review… specifically the Eco Safe Dishwash Liquid by True Green Organics.
The first thing I noticed was the fabulous lemon lime scent. Organic lime and organic lemon essential oils are two of the ingredients. Citrus essential oils both smell good and are useful for cleaning so I was happy to see these in the ingredient list.
But what I was also excited to see was what wasn’t in the ingredient list. As an NYR Organic Independent Consultant, I try to really walk the walk and avoid the same things in my whole life that we avoid in the Neal’s Yard Remedies skincare. This contains no synthetic fragrances. No petroleum based ingredients, sulphates, or phosphates. So this passed the ingredient test. But would it work?
No matter what, this product has to work as well as something I can get at the grocery store. Right?
And it does! The first thing I washed was a dirty sheet pan. (This was the pan used for the One Pan Steak and Vegetables in this post. It was an awesome dinner. But did leave some grime on the pan.) I used hot water and just the smallest drop I could of the soap. Then I let it sit for a bit and tried to scrub as little as possible to see the soap do its work. And I was pleasantly pleased. It really dug through the grease and cleaned the pan that had some cooked in grease and bits of food.
Here are some pictures of the before, during, and after!
The amazing thing is that this soap can also be used in the dishwasher. Just a teaspoon did a full load!
